S.O.S. (Swansea Out of Hours Service) is the provider of out-of-hours care for General Practice for Swansea.
GPs are no longer responsible for providing out-of-hours care for their patients. It is now the responsibility of the Local Health Board and in Swansea has been arranged through S.O.S.
S.O.S. is a society run for the benefit of the Swansea community. It is a non-profit-making organisation which uses local GPs to provide out-of-hours care. If you require advice, or need to be seen by a GP Monday to Friday 6.30pm - 8.00am, Weekends and Bank Holidays, and you are registered with a GP surgery in the Swansea area, then it is S.O.S. that will be responsible for your care.
